We Will Repair and Restore Any Wood Floor to it's Original State |
'Before the Hardwood Flooring Installation
We ensure that the materials for your flooring will arrive 48 hours before the installation process begins. This is to allow it time for acclimatization. We can also remove existing flooring, whether it’s hardwood, carpets, vinyl, or tile. We can move furniture to clear the area for work, and put it back in place once the work is complete.
Staggering, And Solid Hardwood Floor Repair
What steps do you take when an existing hardwood floor meets an unfinished hardwood style? Staggering, of course. This makes the floor appear randomly configured, and allows the eye to take in the whole floor, rather than being drawn to a straight, single line of wood seams. The seams are the floor structures weak points. Staggering allows the floor to remain strong
Sanding & Refinishing Hardwood Flooring
Our experts are highly experienced and skilled on the finger points of sanding hardwood floors. We sand uniformly and completely, layer by layer. We ensure we reach corners, edges, and even the places that are hard to reach. We perform three different grades of sanding to achieve superior results: fine, medium, and rough. During the process, we regularly inspect for countersink nails, and cracks, to ensure you get the best finish possible.

The stain and the finish are the concluding steps that draw out the character of the wood. This is where our expertise comes into play, as we select the right stains to complete the job to a high standard.
Applying the Finish
It’s clear to see the quality of our workmanship. We take care to avoid thick overlaps on the finish, avoid any dripping, and ensure all surfaces are covered evenly. Our experts blend brush marks, using lamb’s wool and other techniques. We also ensure there is no dust or loose fibers in the finished coat.
Distressed Hardwood Floor Refinishing
Rather than hand scraped, there is also the distressed option. This is created by a factory process, and provides a similar look to hand scraped, but without the time-consuming labor. So, you still have the rustic look, but it doesn’t quite have the same price tag as the hand scraped option.
